Kenny
Sexton – MC, Comedy, Keyboard and Vocals
Kenny is the President and Producer of the American Mountain
Theater. He manages all facets of the business utilizing
his 30 plus years as a certified public accountant and
a business entrepreneur. Musically, he started playing
piano for Gospel quartets at the age of twelve and has
really never stopped. He owned and produced the Ozark
Mountain Hoe-Down Music Theater in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Kenny is truly at home in his business office or entertaining
on the stage at the American Mountain Theater. |

Susie
Heckel – Vocals, Costumes and Production
Susie, an Elkins native, founded the American Mountain
Theater in 2003. She began her musical career at the age
of two, traveling with her father and performing at churches
and on radio stations in Virginia and West Virginia. Since
then, her love of music has grown, along with her accomplishments
as an entertainer. She is an RCA recording artist who
has performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and a
favorite at the Wheeling Jamboree. Local audiences recognize
her outstanding talents and contributions to choirs, Christmas
productions, and other events throughout the region. She
is exceptionally blessed with a show-stopping voice. |

Denny
Franks – Vocals, Keyboard, MC and Comedy
A veteran Branson performer, Denny is a master musician
and vocalist, and serves as American Mountain Theater’s
musical director. For the last 12 years, he has performed
as part of the Pierce Arrow Show in Branson, Missouri,
as a vocalist, MC and keyboard player. Prior to the Pierce
Arrow Show, Denny worked with both the Wayne Newton and
Roy Clark Shows and also at the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down
in Arkansas. He is also a former RCA recording artist
as a member of “The Heckels.” Denny called
Elkins home for years before his move to the Ozarks’
Music Scene in 1989 and he is excited to be home in West
Virginia. |

Beverly
Sexton – Vocals, Writer and Production
Beverly is the third member who made up the RCA recording
trio, “The Heckels,” and she also had a solo
RCA recording contract. She has years of show experience
including the Johnny Russell Show, the Ozark Mountain
Hoe-Down, the Carolina Opry and Lee Mace’s Ozark
Opry. She adds her magnificent voice and writing talents
to the Gospel portion of the American Mountain Theater
show. She has written over 150 Gospel songs of which several
have been top ten radio singles for other artists. One
of her songs was featured on a Bill Gaither video and
television show. Her God-given vocal abilities are a gift
which is noticed the moment she begins to sing. |

Jeremiah
Franks - Vocals, Comedy and Acoustic Guitar
Jeremiah Franks, an Elkins native, is a bright new star
on the music scene. This 24-year-old has seemingly unlimited
energy and spirit to go along with his vocal and musical
talents. His unusual comedy antics along with his abilities,
which are showcased during the comic impersonations, make
him a favorite of all AMT audiences. At times, the stage
seems hardly spacious enough to contain him. |

Joel
Franks – Drums and Vocals
Joel Franks, brother to Jeremiah, spent time performing
on the Branson, Missouri music scene. In addition to being
a monster drummer, he is a fantastic lead singer and harmony
vocalist. He has the unique ability to impersonate singers
as diverse as Frank Sinatra and Louie Armstrong. His perfect
tempo keeps the band right on track. |

Ishah
Marie – Vocals and Dance
Ishah Marie is from Nacogdoches, Texas. She charms the
crowd with her beauty, musical and dancing talents. She
also worked in Branson at both the Andy Williams Theater
and The Legends In Concert Show. She stays busy during
AMT’s comic impersonations and does a great cover
of Tina Turner. |

Mark
Hamrick – Lead Guitar and Vocals
Mark does an unbelievable job on lead guitar for AMT and
is also a terrific vocalist. He does a spectacular Roy
Orbison tribute and his guitar instrument feature is one
you simply can’t miss. Mark resides in Buckhannon,
WV and is a music professor at West Virginia Wesleyan
College. |

Seth
Maynard – Bass Guitar and Vocals
Seth is a multi-talented musician who, in addition to
doing a marvelous job on the bass guitar, also plays lead
guitar, acoustic and keyboards. He studied music at Berkeley
College and is an adjunct music professor at Davis and
Elkins College. He owns and operates Lone Wolf Recording
Studio in Elkins. AMT is proud to call him a cast member. |

William
“Pee Wee” Heckel – Harmonica and Comedy
Pee Wee has entertained folks across the country for 50
years. To AMT, he brings the sounds of his harmonica and
comedy talent to the show. He is father to some of the
AMT cast, grandfather to others, and a friend to all those
he comes in contact with. He has certainly put his signature
on the beautiful music of West Virginia. Some of his signature
handcrafted items can also be found in the gift shop. |

Matthew
Scott – Sound and Lights
Matthew does an excellent job running the magnificent
digital sound and lighting systems in the American Mountain
Theater. He keeps everything in proper balance for a wonderfully
enjoyable show. Matt also works in AMT’s box office. |

Jerry Teter – Spot Light and Utility
Jerry Teter is AMT’s utility man and jack-of-all-trades.
In addition to running the spotlight for all the shows,
he also works in the box office, in concessions and as
a greeter and usher. Jerry’s mechanical abilities
make him a priceless member of the AMT staff. |
